They were never the perfect match. Now, they must decide if love is enough.
Ishana and Dev’s arranged marriage has always felt like a slow-burning storm—filled with unsaid words, unmet expectations, and a growing distance neither of them knows how to bridge. Dr. Ishana Agarwal, an emerging Pediatrician is a hopeless romantic, longs for warmth and affection, while Dr. Devansh Alla, a renowned Orthopedic is distant, overprotective, and impossible to understand. Fourteen months of trying and failing have convinced them that walking away is the only choice.
But fate has other plans. Forced to stay in each other’s lives a little longer, the tension between them ignites—fueled by past heartbreak, lingering attraction, and emotions too powerful to ignore. Every glance lasts a second too long. Every touch echoes with something unspoken. And every moment together makes it harder to let go. The walls between them begin to crack, revealing hidden desires and long-buried feelings, neither of them dared to acknowledge.
Are they truly incompatible and destined to fall apart, or is there something worth holding on to?

MY REVIEW
The emotions are spot on…
I was hooked from the moment I started reading the book, curious to know more about the protagonists. In fact, I wanted to know what made them tick. Why did Ishana and her husband Dev of fourteen months, never shared a bedroom?
The author had made me curious right from the beginning. Both are doctors, young, beautiful, aspirational, and successful to a big extent. The difference is Ishana is a romantic at heart, while Dev is anything but expressive.
She had dreams when she entered the arranged marriage, while he had fallen for her from the beginning. She’s totally impatient, and wants everything to happen speedily. He’s patience personified, non-confrontational, and expects things to work out even if he does not offer his view point.
Things come to a head when Ishana’s frustration gets out of bounds. She only sees her husband as a control freak, and totally fed up, makes a demand which truly shakes up Dev.
As for him, he wants to please her, under any and all circumstances, and agrees to give her what she seeks.
In the meanwhile, something had happened when Ishana lost her cool. She finally found the guts to tell him what she was missing in the marriage, which has a major impact on the husband who loves her.
Will it make a difference to their relationship? You have to read this slow burn romance to find out.
The story is well built, the characters strong (especially the protags), the narrative interesting. A feel-good romance which will warm your heart.
