This
book brings together five short stories by Ruchi Singh. I have read a smaller
version of some of these stories during the A-Z April Challenge a couple of
years ago. I must say that the stories have turned out pretty well.
The
first one is Head Over Heels and this
is my favourite of the lot. Sanaa is a tomboy who feels this deep urge to turn
feminine with the advent of Aaryan in her life. He’s almost engaged when he
finds himself falling for Sanaa. Read the story to see the blooming
relationship between the protagonists. Beautifully penned by the author!
You and Only You is about Divya. Jayant loves her but she’s loyal to Nikhil whom she is almost engaged to. But what happens when Nikhil is not the man that she believed him to be? And she gets to find out after the marriage. Will Divya find happiness? This story is very real and something that could happen to anyone we know. Divya’s journey has been well described. You need to read the story to find out if she finds happiness.
Love is Silent is about politician Arjun. It
wasn’t bad.
A Promise is a Promise is another story that I truly
enjoyed reading. Reet is so committed to her mother that she’s scared of
committing herself to another human being. But Samar is in love with her. Will he
be able to convince her to become his? A touching romance indeed!
The Whole Nine Yards is where Krish falls in love,
with Avantika. But is a marriage possible between the two? Not really, if
Avantika’s relatives are to be believed. But Krish refuses to give up. A cute
story!
VERDICT:
If you like feel good romances, you have to read this one by Ruchi Singh
